Qian is a UX designer with a passion for social impact. With a diverse toolkit, she has experience managing the end to end user centered design process – from strategy to visual design. Her work spans enterprise, digital, start-ups, and government. Some notable projects include leading UX research a CV builder to help thousands of low-income New Zealanders find jobs, and helping to raise $60,000 for a project to help first generation students graduate college through the Robin Hood Foundation.

In addition to her design projects, she has mentored and taught UX in countries such as Malaysia and South Africa. As a designer who embraces cultural immersion, her ideal process is co-designing with the people in local communities.

When she is not wrangling with auto-layout in Figma, she can be found zoning out on cooking videos and trying not to fly off her bike.
